On 13th November, World Kindness Day is celebrated annually. On this day, by celebrating and encouraging good deeds and pledging acts of kindness, either as individuals or as organisations, participants aim to make the world a better place.

There are actually 28 countries formally participating in the world’s kindness campaign. This celebration of World Kindness Day is officially unofficial, and the World Kindness Movement is aiming to formally recognise from the United Nations.

History

World Kindness Day was first initiated by the World Kindness Movement as a day of observation. The organization was recognized as an official NGO under Swiss law in 2019, but the group’s history dates back to a convention held in Tokyo in 1997. Due to their commitment to championing kindness in society, a number of organizations and organizations based in countries such as Australia, Thailand, the United States, and the United Kingdom were gathered at this meeting.
